Annual Calendar

​​​​​​Chapter leaders should note the following opportunities to support professional development of their members and students in their community through ASIS Foundation awards and scholarships.

January 2

Applications accepted for Alan J. Cross Award
The Cross Award provides an online certification review course for 20 members to pursue the certification of their choice. Applications must be signed by a chapter officer. Members cannot nominate themselves. Awards given on a first-submitted,  first-awarded basis. Closed as of 1/3/2016 - try again next year!

Applications accepted for Chapter Matching Scholarships
Make the most of your local chapter’s scholarship program. These awards provide matching funds for an education award to a chapter member or college student. If a scholarship is awarded to a chapter member, the Foundation doubles the award, up to $1,000. If a scholarship is awarded to a student, the Foundation matches the amount up to $500 for the first 30 applications. Deadline: November 20

Applications accepted for the Jeff Greipp Secure Your Future Scholarships
The University of Phoenix awards five full-tuition scholarships to security professionals to complete a degree in any field that advances a career in security.  Deadline: March 29

March 1

Applications accepted for The Charles H. "Sandy" Davidson IV Memorial Scholarships
(ASIS Foundation-Webster University Scholarships)
Webster University awards two full-tuition scholarships to ASIS members to complete a graduate degree in Business and Organizational Security Management.​ Deadline: May 5

Applications accepted for the Transitions Council Certification Scholarship
Provides an opportunity for ASIS members who work in law enforcement to pursue ASIS board certification.
Scholarships cover the expenses of application, preparation (online review), and testing for the CPP or PSP certification. Deadline: April 28

April 24

Applications accepted for the Matt Simeone ASIS Award for P3 Excellence
Showcase your organization’s law enforcement - private security partnership and share your success in addressing crime prevention, antiterrorism, public safety and other difficult challenges. A representative from the winning organization and the partnering agency will win travel expenses to attend ASIS 2017 in Dallas, TX.  Deadline: June 19

May 8

Applications for Military Liaison Council Certification Scholarship
Provides an opportunity for ASIS members who actively serve in military service to pursue ASIS board certification. Scholarships cover the expenses of application, preparation (online review), and testing for the CPP or PSP certification. Deadline: July 3

October 1

Applications accepted for Timothy J. Walsh APC I Award
Don’t miss this chance to take an APC I course—free of charge! Applicants must be nominated by their chapter and complete a one-page application and a personal narrative. Deadline: November 27

Applications accepted for Roy Bordes Physical Security Award
Apply for a customized, two-day physical security education program for your chapter. Annually, one ASIS chapter is honored with the Roy Bordes Physical Security Award, which pays toward the cost of instructors, their travel and accommodations, and collateral materials. Deadline: December 16
